Condolence from Fran Ellis on October 3rd, 2020 12:40 pm

I worked with Bonnie for over 27 years at Viking Cliesnt Services. We had our spats and our good times, but I always enjoyed her bright personality and wit. We became good friends at work and I will miss her terribly. Our last conversation was filled with sharing and tears. I could feel the pain and fear in her voice as she told me she was dying. I told her when this door closes, another door will open to eternal life with our Lord and Savior. My hope is that she passed at peace and in the knowledge that God would take her precious Spirit to her eternal home.

Condolence from Chris Schmidt on October 3rd, 2020 10:45 pm

Dear Ally, and Bob, I’m very sorry for your loss. I remember many happy times working with Bonnie. She always brought healthy treats and told stories. I remember when I had my hip replacement she brought a healthy salad and shared it with Tammy and I at my home. Prayers to you and family.

Condolence from Kate LaClair (Pat Gill’s sister-in-law) on October 5th, 2020 2:02 pm

So very sorry to hear of Bonnie’s passing. I have very fond memories (bats, porposing pontoon, Lakeview, fly-over herons and loons) of her and her sister, Pat, of when they would come up to Aitkin and stay at the cabin on Dam Lake when John and I first brought it. You are in my prayers.

Condolence from Steve Malone on October 22nd, 2020 3:41 pm

I was so sorry to hear about Bonnie’s passing. I thought she had a hard job at Viking, but she always had a fun or light-hearted comment for every question I had or if she had one that I could answer. She made Viking a more fun place to work and always showed me an infectious optimism that I will never forget.

Condolence from Judy Jackson on October 24th, 2020 6:28 pm

Oh, so memories of Bonnie. Each and everyone of those who were close to her have had their special times with her, be it work or play! I am grateful that after my 18 years at Viking she didn’t cut me off! She would come to Arizona to see her sister, yet found time for me as well as some who worked for our Arizona office back then. We, since I left Minnesota were text buddies. She would send me pictures of her plants in her garage, waiting for spring, she loved gardening! Rarely a week went by that we didn’t catch up, so I miss that horribly. When I started at Viking I had a healthy respect for her! She didn’t fool me but I was terrified of her job, which invariably, during the few vacations she would take, I would find a way to screw it up. I believe she secretly liked that! In the end I am truly saddened that she never got a chance to enjoy a retirement. She had so many interests, cooking, lake life, wine, the Twins and so many friends to enjoy it with. Our hearts go out to Ally & Bob and her extended family.
