Born in Montgomery, MN on January 16, 1926, Bea led a full faith-filled life of love for her family, hard work, and fun times with family and friends. During WWII, she worked as one of our country’s “Rosie the Riveters” for Boeing Aircraft. She was proud of her waitressing skills and felt her time with Al in volunteer service to the food shelf was among the best times in her life. She treasured time with her grandkids and great-grands, loved to shop for clothes and loved food, especially ice cream! She enjoyed all kinds of music and was a daily walker for many years. Life lessons she shared were to “give everyone a chance” and to see everyone as God’s children. The family extends heartfelt appreciation to the professional, caring staff of Friendship Manor. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred in Bea‘s name to the CAP Agency Food Shelf. |

My Aunt Bea, what an aunt she was. Always dressed to the nines with shoes to match. I was always fascinated as a kid to see her when she came to the farm, through the the mud, walking on boards to the house in high heels at easter time in pastel patent leather. This i know for fact is a gene i received from her, a closet jam packed with shoes and let’s not forget the clothes. Aunt Bea too was such a wonderful cook , and the perfect hostess to all parties that were at her home. Many fond memories of all the family together and playing with my cousins. Now for the part that brings tears to my eyes just thinking about this. My Aunt Bea, told my mom Gloria, that I was her favorite. Never in a million years I would think this, for I was never a family or friend favorite in my life, but Aunt Bea thought so. And that is all that matters because auntie had class and knew what she was talking about- (little chuckle here).- But what a wonderful gift she left me just by saying a few kind words. Auntie, I thank you from my soul. I am unable to attend auntie’s service, due to a shoulder surgery; but my thoughts and heart will be there and it is with great sorrow Candy of the lose of your very precious mom, and to the rest of your family, you have my deepest sympathy Love You My Auntie Bea.

One of my fondest memories of Bea and Al was them taking me to the first movie I ever saw in a theater. I don’t remember my age, may have been 6 or 7, but Bea must have worked out a deal, where my mom would watch Bob, (not sure if Candy was born yet), while Bea and Al would took just me to the movie in Faribault. Al had his new light green Ford pickup. I sat between them and had a wonderful trip. The movie was “The Greatest Show on Earth”, about the circus and I still remember some of the scenes. Obviously, they helped create a wonderful memory that I still have today.
