Audrey Clara (Luce) Kaiser, age 80, of Prior Lake, MN, entered eternal peace on Monday, June 24, 2019.

A visitation will be on Monday, July 1 from 3-7 pm and on Tuesday, July 2 from 9:30-10:45, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am, all at St. Michael Catholic Church, 16400 Duluth Avenue SE, Prior Lake. Father Tom Walker will preside. Pallbearers will be the oldest grandchild from each of her children; Holly Ziebarth, Emily Muelken, Amanda Kaiser, Maria Traxler, Tom Fix, Jack Kaiser, Ashley DeMarais, and Morgan Nawrocki. Audrey will be laid to rest at a private family interment at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery.

Roman Frederick and Louise Mary (Lenzmeier) Luce proudly announced the birth of Audrey on July 5, 1938, at their home in Prior Lake, MN. She was the 6th of 9th children. Audrey graduated from Shakopee High School in 1956. While working as a waitress at the Spring Lake Dance Hall, she met Clarence “Clancy” Kaiser. Their love flourished and they were married on February 23, 1957, at Holy Family Church, in Mason City, Iowa. Audrey and Clancy became the proud parents to eight children, Rita, Renee, Randy, Linda, Lisa, Rory, Rhonda and Robin.

Besides being a wife, mother and grandma, Audrey worked side by side with Clancy for years, starting, owning and operating Clancy’s Bar and Pizza since 1982. She was the driving force of a successful business. Audrey was instrumental in creating the menu, and she ran a strict and spotless kitchen. In 2003, she and Clancy retired, passing on the torch to their sons, Randy and Rory.

Audrey and Clancy spent winters at Stonecrest in Summerfield, Florida. She remained very active in the community by joining the choir, playing water volleyball and golf, crafting, dancing, and most of all, socializing and creating longtime friendships.

Audrey had a strong faith in God. She was always involved in the life of the parish. Audrey felt extremely close to the Lord, especially when she received the Eucharist.

Although faith and family were most important, Audrey also had other interests. In her earlier and mid years, Audrey enjoyed participating in a bowling league and playing golf. She took an interest in shooting sporting clays and went on to become the South Dakota State Champ, as well as competing in other national tournaments. Audrey also enjoyed being outdoors working in her flower and vegetable gardens. Audrey spent countless hours in the kitchen showing her love to family and friends with a variety of delicious food. Audrey also had talent in needlework, ceramics, jewelry making and basket weaving.

Forever missed, Audrey will be forever loved by husband, Clancy; children, Renee (Larry Muelken) Kaiser-Muelken, Randy (Faith) Kaiser, Linda (John) Traxler, Lisa (Mike) Fix, Rory (Jane) Kaiser, Rhonda (Val) Zweber, Robin (Phil) Nawrocki; Rita’s significant other, Brian Johnson; grandchildren, Holly (Dan) Ziebarth, Heather (Nate Marr) Flood, Emily Muelken, Peter Muelken, Amanda Kaiser, Jake (Trisha) Kaiser, Joe (Alex) Kaiser, Maria (Daniel Neuburger) Traxler, John Paul Traxler, Angela Traxler, Tom Fix, Kelly Fix, Jack Kaiser, Mary Kaiser, Ashley (Danny) DeMarais, Hailey (Alex) Linneman, Sally Zweber, Morgan Nawrocki, Peyton Nawrocki, Carson Nawrocki; great-grandchildren, Alexis Turner, Autumn Schmidt, CJ Schmidt, Will Ziebarth, Brylee Aldrich, Cuyler Flood, Aubrey Marr, Irelyn Marr, Lucy DeMarais, Rhett Kaiser; siblings, Leon Luce, Mark (Arlene) Luce, Louanne (Lyle) Krueger, Helene (Steve) Schmitt; sister-in-law, Benilee Luce; brother-in-law, Gilbert Kerber; other loving relatives and devoted friends.

There to welcome Audrey home in eternal peace is daughter, Rita Ziehlsdorff; parents, Roman and Louise Luce; siblings, Eugene (Mary) Luce, Elsie Kerber, Jim (Joanne) Luce, Neil Luce and sister-in-law, Arlene Luce; nieces and nephews.

Condolence from Art and Jean Chetney on June 30th, 2019 3:21 pm

Just heard of Audrey’s passing. Feel so fortunate that we were able to meet Audrey and Clancy in Florida and spend good times with them. You could tell that Audrey loved life and thoroughly enjoyed it. Even when she was going trough her treatments she was out and about when she could. I remember her telling me when she decided to stop treatments that she just wanted to do whatever she felt like doing …..and we’re sure no one stopped her. Clancy, you and your family have our heartfelt sympathy at this time. May the many memories you have sustain you, for she will always be with you. God bless.

Condolence from Diana Kaiser on June 30th, 2019 7:36 pm

Uncle Clancy,
You and Auntie Audrey plus your whole family took us in and basically adopted me and our children (Byrons) after his passing as a loved and welcomed part of your family. Please know that we consider ourselves to be very blessed ! Every now and then, we meet an angle that walks among us, I believe Auntie Audrey was one of those angels, then when all lessons have been taught, and bars have been set high, God then calls his angels back home. My heart breaks for you and your family! For as broken hearted as I feel myself, just envisioning my Byron at the gates of heaven to welcome her with a loving embrace from her nephew makes me happy. Uncle Clancy please know that we love you and that we’ll always be there for you! Our sincere and deepest condolences and sympathies! Much love : Diana and family.
