Artem Moskovkin, of Prior Lake, passed away suddenly on May 5, 2019 while vacationing in Mexico.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation (833 S. Marschall Road) in Shakopee. Funeral Service is Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 11:00 AM with visitation from 9:30 – 11:00 AM at the Slavic Baptist Church (1205 10th Ave E) in Shakopee. Artem will be laid to rest at Valley Cemetery, and full military honors will be provide by the Shakopee Veteran Honor Guard.
Artem was born in Russia and moved to the United States as boy. He served in the United States Army for six years. He was deployed over seas where he proudly defended his country. During his deployments he received many decorations and medals for his brave service.
Throughout his life, Artem enjoyed the outdoors. He spent time on the local lakes, and especially liked fishing. Artem also loved traveling. He took many memorable trips and always loved visiting new places.
Artem was a good man. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends who loved him.

I went to Basic Training with Moscow. I am sorry for your loss. He was a good guy and friend.
I did not know Artem, but his Aunt Yelena is a dear friend, and I know Artem must have been a wonderful person. My heart and prayers go out to you, his beloved family. May God comfort you as only He can do.
Ты ушёл из этой жизни совершенно неожиданно и явно преждевременно. Добродушный и жизне-радостный , а я бы даже сказал задорный, ты был полон оптимизма, идей и жизненных планов, но главное – ты знал Того, к Которому нужно обра-титься в минуту смертельной опасности, Кто оживляет и умерщвляет, Кто делает слепым или глухим, зрячим или немым. Того, у Которого глаголы вечной жизни и я верю, что ты к Нему обратился и предал дух свой в Его пронзённые руки и Он упокоил дух твой в совершенном мире. С надеждой смотрю в будущее и верю, что встречусь с тобой в Небесах и мы вместе прославим нашего Спасителя! До встречи, дорогой Артем!
He will never be forgotten. He had a kind and caring heart.
My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends. May you find some comfort in the promise found in Revelation 21: 3-4 and 1 Thessalonians 4:14. Knowing that there is an opportunity to be reunited with loved ones.

To the Moskovkin family, I served overseas with Artem in 2011-2012. I didn’t get to know Artem on a very personal level, but I never saw anything but the best from him. My condolences to your loss, he will be greatly missed.
