Sincere condolences to the family and friends of Arlene Kalton. May her memory be a blessing. I did not have the chance to meet her, but I have a sense of the amazing woman she was from the stories shared with her daughter Karen, a dear friend. Love lives forever.

Condolence from Michelley Benitez on June 6th, 2021 8:43 pm

As the fish aquarium service person for Karen and Robert Karlton for over 20 years here in southern California , I got to meet miss Arlene several times when she would visit.
It was so nice to be made feel like family and be a part of everyone’s life .
I loved her smile ……and it was nice to talk with her as she relaxed in the lounge chair outside on the patio reading or knitting something.
I know how close you are with your mother, Karen, so of course, couldn’t imagen how you feel.
Just know the Lord will receive her with open, loving arms and she can sit at the right hand getting the skinny on things. HEHE
Love Michelley

What a very beautiful service!

I am honored to have been given the opportunity to “meet” the remarkable Arlene.

A special thank you to you Pastor, for your lovely mix of the holy words, and joyful, heart-lifting sentiments.

My prayers for Arlene, and all of Arlene’s family and friends, who are hurting at this time.

And my dearest, dearest love to Karen Kalton Brown, who in every conceivable way, is a Sister to me.

Our sincere condolences to your family. Arlene was a great lady, a kind and fun loving person who helped me in so many ways. My first and longest friend at the School District! Many thanks to her and John for introducing us to Prior Lake 35 years ago. We are still here

You all have wonderful memories of your Mom, they will help you through this hard time. Beautiful service today, thank you for sharing with us. Love to all

Condolence from Carol and Roger Deming and family on June 9th, 2021 12:53 am

Thanks so much, Karen, for letting us know of your dear mother’s passing and for extending the opportunity to attend her service via zoom. We’re sorry we couldn’t be there with you to share the loss we all feel. It would have been good to see you all again. We send our sympathy and virtual hugs to comfort all who loved Arlene and knew her love. She will surely be missed. I’ve known Arlene’s fsmily all lmy life since our moms were sisters and our families were always close. Mom told us a story about Arlene, who as her passenger and still just a little tyke barely able to peek out the windshield while on tiptoe, critiqued her driving, exclaiming thus: “Merno! (Myrtle) Don’t be so reckels!” (Already not too shy to speak her piece.) Our moms sewed for both of us in the Depression years and the bug passed on… and on. I wore lots of Arlene’s hand-me-downs–It was always SO exciting to see what was in that box! Two memorable Christmas gifts I got were a homemade pr. of woolen mittens backed with soft rabbit fur that made me the envy (who shot that bunny?) and a pr. of rickrack earrings that Arlene made for me. i looked up to my cousin Arlene who was 5 yrs. older, especially when I heard of her accomplishments and thought the “thing” she and Johnny had was so romantic! She made me her junior bridesmaid (sewing involved of course) and I in turn made her firstborn my flower girl. Wonder if you remember that, Karen? Arlene made an exact miniature of my dress for you from my drawinng. One of my last memories of your mom was seeing her fast dancing with my hubby Roger at our son Lee’s wedding. Such fun! It’s great that you have many happy times to remember and many friends willing to share theirs as well. It will certainly be different for awhile and I think for Jim especially. You are a true angel here on earth the way you gave of yourself for love of your mom. We all owe you a debt of gratitude. Anyway we hope you all can release some of the stress, get some rest and begin to heal in the knowledge that Arlene’s at peace (I didn’t say quiet!) and joyously into long awaited reunions. XOXO
