Amy A Getz was 97 years old when she passed away peacefully Monday evening, September 25, 2017, at Oak Terrace Senior Living, Jordan, MN.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, October 1, at 3 pm, with a time of gathering two hours prior, both at Lydia Zion United Methodist Church 1026 East 205th Street SE, Jordan, MN. Pastor Larry Kasten will preside. Pall bearers will be Brian Whipps, Wayne Whipps, Jason Allen and Jeff Weckman. Amy will be laid to rest at Concord Hill Cemetery, Lydia, MN.
On July 31, 1920 in Lydia, MN, Amy Alice was born to parents, Charles and Emma (Sawatzky) Whipps. She was the six of eight children. Raised in Lydia, she eventually married Fred Getz.
Amy will be forever remembered in the hearts of step sons,Thommas, Donald; 5 step-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Whipps, Rona Whipps, Ramona Whipps; 10 nieces and nephews; many relatives and friends.
There to greet Amy home in heaven was her husband Fred; parents; siblings, Earl (Evelyn) Whipps, Inez (Roy) Pearson, Cora (Clarence) Petsch, Elmer (Agnes) Whipps, Loren Whipps, Bill (Edna) Whipps and Chuck Whipps.
