Alec Scott Pearson was born on February 24, 1994 in Edina Minnesota to parents Scott and Mary (Ostendorf) Pearson. Alec spent his early years in both Maple Grove and Eden Prairie and his last ten years in Prior Lake. He was a 2012 graduate of Prior Lake High School. Alec had recently been accepted to and planned to attend Linn-Benton Community College in Albany, Oregon this fall.

As a young child, Alec was actively involved in karate with his dad. He enjoyed playing baseball. He displayed such a genuine and admirable level of dedication to those interests.

Alec loved to hang out with his big brothers. Babysitting was an adventure for all. Alec became a “chick magnet” for his brothers.

More recently Alec enjoyed playing Lacrosse on a team with his friends His other interests were video games, disc golf and snowboarding with his buddies. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing on Prior Lake. During the day, you may have found Alec tinkering with and driving his Jeep around in the mud. He was a night owl at heart.

Alec had amazing cooking talents making fresh bread and rolls from scratch. He made a fantastic batch of tamales for Christmas and often created and enjoyed his own tasty concoctions.

At age 18 and full of life, Alec died suddenly on June 26, 2012. We will all remember Alec for his infectious smile, intelligence and humor.
Alec will be deeply missed by his parents, Mary (Bob Dornbusch) Pearson of Prior Lake, Scott (Jan) Pearson of Stacy, Minnesota; siblings Ben (Katie) Brickweg of Erie, Colorado, Luke (Nickie) Brickweg of Flagstaff, Arizona; step-siblings Bobby and Christine Dornbusch, Liz and Casey Sandberg; along with many other beloved relatives and friends.
Alec was preceded in death by his grandparents, Erhard and Loretta Ostendorf, Burton and Elaine Pearson.

Visitation will be Friday June 29, 2012 from 4 to 7 PM followed by a memorial service at 7:00 PM at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, Shakopee. The Rev. Tom Hanson will officiate.

The Pearson family is served with honor, care and compassion by Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home.
