Jessica Donnel (DeYoung) Langsdorf passed away on March 8, 2017 at the age of 37. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation in Prior Lake on Monday, March 20, 2017 from 12:00 Noon – 1:30 PM with a time of reflection at 1:30 PM. Following the services, Jessica will be laid to rest with her father at Shakopee Catholic Cemetery (St. Mary’s Cemetery) in Shakopee..
On December 1, 1979, Terry and Judy DeYoung celebrated the birth of their beautiful baby girl at St. Francis Hospital in Shakopee. Jessica was one of three children and loved growing up in the Prior Lake area with her brother, Matthew, and sister, Deanna. When Jessica was just a girl, her father passed away. This was a terrible loss for the whole family, and Jessica missed her father deeply. When her mom remarried Chris Fox, Jessica got a second father and siblings, Elisha and Caleb.
As a young woman, Jessica fell in love with and married Troy Langsdorf. They were blessed with two wonderful children, Jasmine and Taylor. Although Jessica and Troy eventually went their separate ways, they worked hard to be the best parents to Jasmine and Taylor.
Jessica was a beautiful woman, but she had many trials in her life. She struggled with addiction and medical issues for many years, but wasn’t able to make the changes she so desperately wanted to. Her family is now left to carry on her legacy. She will always be remembered for her sweet tooth, beautiful poetry, and her bright smile.
She will be deeply missed by her children, Jasmine Anna Rose Langsdorf, Taylor Alvin Joseph Langsdorf; former husband, Troy Langsdorf; boyfriend, John Cooper; mother, Judy (Rimnac) Fox; second father, Chris Fox; siblings, Mathew (Jenni) DeYoung, Elisha (Richard) Sanders, Deanna (Justin Grecco) DeYoung and Caleb Fox; grandparents, Larry & Joanne DeYoung, Pat Camplbell; aunts, Shari (Steve) Kuefler, Dawn DeYoung, Stephanie (Mike) Borst, Susan (Robert) Revier, Jan (Norm) Kraus, Carrie (Don) Pearson; uncles, Stephen Rimnac and Brad Fox; many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
Jessica is preceded by her father, Terry DeYoung; grandparents, Joseph & Dorothy Rimnac, Mick Campbell; aunt, Nancy Lindquist; uncles, Alan Rimnac and Pete Fox.
Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation proudly serves the Langsdorf, DeYoung, Rimnac and Fox families

It’s hard to believe that Jessica and Nancy are gone home in a little over a year from each other. But I do know where they are and that we’ll all be together again in GLORY soon, with many other good people. Going to miss her! Praying from Africa for Gods comfort for you all Love Kevin .

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember her always coming to IS with Chris to pick up Judy or drop by to say hello to her mother. Such a nice happy young lady. I am glad she was surrounded by so many that loved her and can only pray she parted on the best of terms with her loved ones. You all will be in my thoughts during this tough time.

Thankful that I had the opportunity to meet with her for her birthday before Christmas. She was always a joy to be around and her hugs were full of love. She was a awesome person with such a joyful personality. I’m truly thankful for our visit. She is with God, playing cards with grandpa Joe, riding horses with my mom and reuniting with her father.
