Jeff was born to Clarence and Ethel Muelken on May 31, 1956. He was the youngest of eight children, and loved growing up on the family farm in Credit River. Jeff graduated from Lakeville High School. Family was always so important to Jeff, and he was a wonderful father to his children, Jason and Sarah.
For the past 20+ years, Jeff worked as a custodian in local schools. He loved his work and made many wonderful friends in the Prior Lake and Lakeville school districts. In his spare time, Jeff loved to play cards, especially Euchre and 313. He also enjoyed reading and watching movies. Jeff was an avid sports fan and loved all of the MN teams. He even played in a fantasy football league.
Jeff had many interests, but the most important things in his life were his family and faith. Jeff loved being with his kids, grandkids, siblings and all of his extended family. He never missed a family reunion and was so good to everyone in his family. Jeff also had a very deep faith. He went to church every week, and was a strong believer.
After a number of health complications, Jeff passed away at Fairview Southdale Hospital surrounded by his family. He was a wonderful man with a great sense of humor and a kind heart. Jeff will be missed by his children, Jason (Cristina) Muelken and Sarah (David Lipinski) Tartaglia; grandchildren, Fredrico, Angelo, Rita, Ashley and Korall; siblings, Bev (Dick) Schmitz, Terry (Barb) Muelken, Marge (Ken) Farrell, Tom (Carol) Muelken, Pat (Larry) Caduff, Linda Platt and Jeanne Marsh; many loving relatives and friends

To: The Family of Jeff Muelken,
I am saddened to hear about the passing away of Jeff Muelken, someone I considered a great friend. I wish to express to all of his family members, my deepest Sympathy. Especially to his children, his brothers and sisters and all the members of Jeff’s immediate family. Jeff was the kindest person, you would have ever wanted to meet. We were all better off for knowing Jeff. One thing I will miss about Jeff is that unmistakable smile and his sense of humor. I know he will be missed by all those who knew him. I know I will miss him. Seeing Jeff pass away the way he did, doesn’t make it any easier for us to let him go, but let him go we must. Things Jeff left undone must stay that way. Jeff was sick for a long time and he has suffered long enough and that is worth our tears. Be strengthened by the fact that he suffers no more. Jeffrey M. Muelken, now belongs to the ages, but we liked it better when he belonged to us. He now lives on only in our memory. He is home he is free. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the Muelken family, at this sorrowful time as you mourn the passing of your beloved Jeff.
Sincerely,
