Loretta Wermerskirchen

 

Loretta Wemerskirchen age 88 of the Gardens at St. Gertrude’s Care Center in Shakopee passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park.

 

She was born June 29, 1919 at Union Hill, MN. Her parents were Joe & Rose (Schwingler) Nytes.

 

Loretta married Melvin Wermerskirchen on October 7, 1941 at Union Hill, MN.

 

Survivors include: daughters Katie (Patrick) Sauer of Golden Valley, Patty Wemerskirchen of Brooklyn Park, Deb (Jim) Genellie of Hopkins, Gail ( Mark) Kragthorpe of Jordan, daughter-in law Glenda Laffen of Jordan, son-in law Owen Kragthorpe of Jordan, 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.

 

She is preceded by husband Melvin Wermeskirchen, daughter Diane Kragthorpe, son Dave Wermerskirchen, parents Joe & Rose Nytes, brothers Leonard Nytes, Ted Nytes, Howard Nytes & Norbert Nytes, sisters Lucy Karcewski & Roseann Shaughnessy.

 

Loretta was a member of the Chritian Mothers Society & The Catholic Aid Association. She loved to spend time at the cabin with her family. She loved to fish, travel, gardening & sewing.

 

Visitation: will be Tuesday April 29,  9:30 till 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jordan.

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, April 29, 11 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jordan

 

Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Jordan. Pallbearers are Krista Majerus, Lisa Laughlin, Kelly Sauer, Molly Sauer, Heather Briese, Lindsay Jandl, Melissa Maschenik & Katie Genellie.
