James Benson James Benson age 55 of Shakopee passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 17, 2008.
He was born July 31, 1952 in St. Paul, MN
He married Kathleen Ann Kurtz Feb. 14, 1990 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN.
Loved and forever missed by his wife Kathleen Benson of Shakopee, MN; son: Jeff (Holly) Benson of St. Cloud, Stepdaughters: Kerry (Chris) Flynn of Lakeville, Kelly (Brian) Lassi of Shakopee, MN; granddaughters: Taylor, Morgan, Grace, Sage & Wren
Preceded by his grandparents, Merten & Ethel Benson
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23, 2008, 10 - 11 AM, Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church, 3611 North Berens RD NW, Prior Lake, MN
Celebration of Life service to follow at 11 AM
Interment will be Thursday, July 31st , Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN
Jim was a member of the Eastside VFW Post #4847 in St. Cloud. He enjoyed his family especially his granddaughters. Jim joined the US Marine Corps in 1969 and served in Vietnam.
