Shirley Bortness Shirley Ann Bortness age 72 of Jordan passed away on Monday, January 14, 2008 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Shirley was born February 7th, 1935 at Volga, South Dakota. Her parents were Alvin & Esther (Torkelson) Pedersen.
She married Oliver Bortness on October 3, 1953 at Pipestone, MN.
Preceded by husband Oliver Bortness, parents parents were Alvin & Esther (Torkelson) Pedersen. 2 sisters Betty & Betty, brother Larry.
Survived by children Helen (Javier) Ocampo of Burnsville, Rita (Victor) Hudson of, Bridgeville, Delaware, Sandi Vasquez of Savage, Tom (Andrea) Bortness of Glencoe, Pat (Dave) Peterson of Jordan, 12 grandchildren 19 great grandchildren, brother Wallace “Bud” (Janet) Pedersen of San Diego, CA, Jerry (Rosie) Pedersen of Cannon Falls, sister Wanda ( Tom) Nessith of Macomb Twp., Michigan.
Visitation is Thursday, January 17, 2008 4-til 8 PM at Ballard– Sunder Funeral Home, 104 First St. W., Jordan, MN. there also will be visitation at the church 1 hour prior to service.
Funeral Service is Friday, January 18, 2008 at Hope Lutheran Church, Jordan, with the Reverend Steven Thompson presiding.
Interment will be at Spirit Hill Cemetery in Jordan.
