Betty Marie Huemoeller
Born on October 26, 1920 in Mankato, MN, Betty was the daughter of Louis and Alice (Graebe) Hinton. Betty exchanged wedding vows with Donald T. Huemoeller on December 2, 1945 at Community Baptist Church in Truman, MN.
She was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Ladies Aid and the American Legion Auxiliary in Truman, MN. Betty was also active at Interlachen Country Club and the Prairie Star Quilters in Fairmont, MN. She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends. Betty recently moved to Prior Lake and was a member of Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church.
Betty was 89 years young when she passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at McKenna Crossings Senior Living in Prior Lake, MN.
She is loved and will be deeply missed by children, Bryce (Kathy) Huemoeller of Prior Lake, Mary Alice Huemoeller (Michael Sellett) of Wilson, WY, James (Kay) Huemoeller of Denver, CO, Louise (Mike) DeLand of Jackson, WY; grandchildren, Brandt (Mandy), Karin (Shawn), Timothy, Alexis, James, Kelley, Alex, Anna; great-grandchildren, Evan, Kate, Alex, Jonathan, Haakon. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Donald; siblings, Donovan (Dagne) Hinton and Perry (Maxine) Hinton. Betty’s urn bearers will be her grandchildren.
Celebration of Life Service will be on Friday, August 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM, with visitation from 9:30-11:00 AM all at Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church, 3611 North Berens Rd NW, Prior Lake. Reverend Dr. Marggi Pleiss-Sippolo will officiate. Interment will be on Saturday, August 7 at Ridge Lawn Cemetery in Truman, MN. Memorials preferred and will be distributed in Betty’s memory by the family.
